Fire at the cabin!

i haven't written in awhile and unfortunately, it is to tell you our little cabin lit on fire today! We had a roaring fire in the fireplace last night, but the house was incredibly smokey during and after the fire, which didn't make a lot of sense. When we woke up this morning, Brian did some investigating and we found smoke pouring out the door frame of the bathroom.

he sent me to the storage unit to get some tupperware to move things, but when i got back, he had called the fire department because scorch marks were starting to form on the shower wall!
So we started with one fire truck and one fire command SUV and ended up with 3 fire trucks and 4 pickups...quite the dramatic response!
Here is a group surveying the damage. They did not have to remove as much of the wall as i thought they would...which was nice. Though it was 47 degrees this morning and as you can see by the picture above, i was in my pj's!
