This guy had a couple of cool jobs. He got to wear a
darth vadar gas mask and go in to take
thermo heat images with his special camera. Then we got to wear the jet pack (a.k.a. fire extinguisher) and put out the fire!
He is going in to survey the damage and take additional
thermo heat photos! You can see the water hose in the foreground...we were praying for them not to have to use it as the
Wii would have most definitely been destroyed! Luckily, they only had to remove a shower wall and the burning board, no major extinguishing!
Here is the first image of the damage. The top of the shower area where the burning wall was. The fire lit behind the fireplace because a cement area broke loose and a 2X4 heated up and ignited. We had more time to discover it because it was packed in with cement. The fire department was so kind and clean! they did not track or leave additional soot anywhere!!
Here is the final view of the shower wall...or where a shower wall used to be. You can see where the 2X4 was cut out in the middle, that is the burning board. So...i guess we will be getting a tiled shower! We are safe, the house is safe, we really fared very well. Lots to be thankful for tonight!
